About
Born in Milan, Maria Scarpini graduated from Universita` Internazionale dell'Arte in Florence with a Diploma in Conservation of artworks. She worked for several institutions such as PAC in Milan (Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea), the Palazzo dei Conservatori and the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rome, The Guggenheim Museum in New York.
She moved to NYC in 1996 and she opened her painting studio in Williamsburg in 1997. She is a self taught painter.
She opened Scarpinistudio Painting Conservation in 2003. Parallel to her painting activity, she has been an Art Conservator in private Practice from 1987 to these days.
